Get flexible!

Yoga classes are held on Wednesdays at 4.  The eight introductory sessions are being held in Room 105 of the Foundation building.  The next sessions are on Oct. 26, then on Nov. 2 and so forth.

To serve man

Whatcom’s service learning club participated in Make a Difference Day on Oct. 22.  They helped clear a vacant lot and did some landscaping for the Kulshan Community Land Trust.

What it is like to go to War

On Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. in the Syre Auditorium, Karl Marlantes, a New York Times bestselling author, will be speaking.  Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at Brown Paper Tickets, at Village Books, or in the Foundation building.  Donations of $100 or more will receive an autographed copy of his new book.

Majors fun

The annual Majors Fair will be in the Syre Student Center on Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Calling all pet foods

The Communications club is hosting a food drive for the Whatcom Humane Society.  Green bins can be found around campus, and donations of cat and dog food are especially appreciated.

For Veteran’s Day this year, Alex Tabayoyon is seeking to create an art project honoring veterans.
