Soccer

The Whatcom men’s soccer team, currently second in the NWAACC’s North Region, has clinched a playoff berth. With a record of 6-6-1, the team’s pursuit of an NWAACC championship will begin on Nov. 10 at Orca Field with a game against Pierce Community College.

The women’s team, meanwhile, was tied for third in the NWAACC North Region standings as of press time. With a 5-8-1 record, the Orcas were to play a tie-breaking match against Shoreline Community College on Nov. 8. The winner would clinch the third and final playoff spot in the North.

Volleyball

The Whatcom women’s volleyball team recently clinched a postseason berth, and will play their final league match on the road against Bellevue Community College on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. The Orcas are 10-1 in league play as of press time, and hold down first place in the NWAACC’s North Region.
