No snow? No problem.

Even with no snow on the course, nothing could have prevented Bellinghamsters from celebrating the 2015 Ski to Sea relay race over Memorial Day weekend.

The race became a tradition in 1973 and now attracts competitors from all over the world.  This year’s race consisted of two running legs, three biking legs, a canoeing leg, and a kayaking leg, totaling 101 miles.  Over 300 teams participated in the race, with each team consisting of eight people.

The race took place on Sunday, though there were several celebrations throughout the weekend including a block party at Boundary Bay Brewery, a performance from the Bellingham Circus Guild, the annual Blossomtime Parade, and a festival in Fairhaven at the finish line.  The first place title and trophy went to Aeromech Sensible Technology, with Boundary Bay Brewery coming in second.
