Woodring College of Education info session
If you are interested in pursuing a career in teaching, Woodring College of Education will be holding an information session on May 27 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., in Syre 104.  This session will include the admissions process, requirements, West-B testing and program options.

Students Leading Change Conference
The Students Leading Change Conference is taking place Saturday, May 30. It well be held in the Syre Student Center, beginning at 8 a.m. This conference provides students with a chance to present on social justice issues that are important to them in a safe environment. Come learn and gain understanding about these issues in our community.

Health professions job fair
On June 4, beginning at 10 a.m., there will be a Health Professions Job Fair happening in the Health Professions Education Center. This is the chance to meet local employers in a variety of fields, and get a head start on job hunting. The fair ends at 1 p.m.

Job fair resume contest winners
Whatcom’s Career and Transfer Center recently held a resume contest in which students could submit their resumes and local employers selected the best ones. Students David Hirsch, Misty Manherz, Alicia Smith, Christine Heintz and Leslie Campbell were the winners of the contest, receiving $100 checks as a reward.

University of Idaho and Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising
On Thursday May 28, The University of Idaho and FIDM will have information tables set up in the Syre foyer from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.  This a great opportunity to learn more about a four year university if you are considering transferring after graduating from Whatcom.
