Veterans Stories Hit Home

On Thursday, November 10, Veterans Day made its way to Whatcom Community College.  Downstairs in the Syre Student Center, a Veterans Day display of photographs and military gear could be viewed by students and faculty alike.

The display included a poster and a tri-fold display board, which contained pictures of veterans from all wars: World War I to the modern day War on Terror. Many of the photographs featured are family and friends of Whatcom staff, students and faculty.

Also on display was a variety of military gear from uniforms to rucksacks.  These items give a little insight on what men and women use and wear while out on the job.

The display is set to move to its permanent home, outside of the Veterans office in Laidlaw, by the beginning of the upcoming week.
