My name is Emily, I’m the editor this quarter. I am currently in the paralegal studies program, hoping to someday work in a law firm specializing either in animal rights or family law. I have been on the Horizon since fall 2008 and plan on sticking around until I complete my program. Journalism is a very rewarding class; the skills I have obtained up to this point will take me far.

My name is Alexandria Foldenauer, but I go by Lexi. I’m a wannabe journalist with dreams of one day working for Rolling Stone Magazine. Some people may roll their eyes at this but I like to live by the cliche’ that “you can do anything you set your mind to.” I love the outdoors, reading good articles and music. I really like being the production editor and being on the Horizon. So… that’s me!

I’m a music junky who loves to write about things that spark interest. I’m graduating Whatcom in June and just got accepted into the University of Oregon as  pre-journalism student. I love working for the Horizon! It’s offers so many opportunities and the companies not bad either Anyway, I guess I can say I’m excited to go but sad to leave… On to the next adventure.

Horizon photo editor Matt Benoit is a second-year Whatcom student majoring in journalism. A member of the staff since the fall of 2008, he has also held the positions of editor-in-chief, assistant editor, and staff writer. He loves to take pictures, make jokes, and fool around on the radio as a disc jockey.

My name is Kelly Sullivan. I am 21 years old. I have three younger sisters. Before Journalism my major interest was physics. My four favorite genres of music are Bluegress, Hip-hop, Indie Rock and Dubstep.
