Koenig holds a talk on current relations with Russia

Former US Ambassador John M Koenig gave a presentation at Whatcom regarding our relationship with Russia and past/current events.
Koenig went over what started the deterioration in the relations between Moscow and other Western capitals, the first Cold War, where we’re at now and the brewing of a “new Cold War,” as well as NATO’s part in all of this, all the way up to our current standing.

Chance the Rapper wins three Grammys for new album

Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, better known as Chance The Rapper, won three awards this year, for best new artist, best rap performance in his song “No Problem” featuring 2Chainz and Lil Wayne, and best rap album for his album “Coloring Book,” at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

Whatcom offers new office admin certificate

Whatcom Community College began offering a new Business program fall 2016, Office Administration Logistics. The program, created by David Evraets and Tom Burk, specializes in teaching students inventory control. According to Evraets, the program developed due to a community need, as well as his own personal interest with the inflow and outflow of merchandise.

Masquerade dance is a ball

Whatcom Community College students attended the Masquerade ball at Whatcom Saturday, Jan. 28. Organized through Student Life as, “an event for students to have fun,” Ella Mathews said. “We actually hadn’t had a dance here in the last like 20 years.”
