Working on the Horizon student newspaper has been my best experience at Whatcom so far.
I could not have foreseen my level of involvement in the Horizon when I started attending Whatcom.
Throughout my time at the Horizon, I had great insight and development in a real-world parallel into the struggles of publication and the practices that accompany the grand task of printing a paper.
The publication schedule has kept the staff here fighting to stay on top of a fast moving environment, work together as a team, and use the resources around us efficiently.

Seeking truth of the Sikh

Are you sure you know the differences between a Sikh and Muslim individual and their ideologies?
At the Horizon we found ourselves debating and assuming varying ideas about the Sikh religion and its members.
“Nearly 60 percent of Americans admit knowing nothing at all about Sikhs,” NPR’s Why American Sikhs Think They Need a Publicity Campaign said.

France votes for the new and the EU

On May 7, 2017 the French elected new president Emmanuel Macron over opposing president elect Marine Le Pen. Macron is the youngest president in France’s history, has never held an elected government position, describes himself as neither left nor right, and founded his own political party in 2016.
