Orca Day planning in full swing

Orca Day is a Whatcom Community College tradition that brings students together to celebrate the ending of the school year one week before finals, through activities and food.
This year, Orca Day will happen on June 5th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will take place between Syre Student Center and the Student Recreation Center, up to the roundabout between SRC and Laidlaw. Continue reading

Transfer Application Workshop: 11 a.m. to noon in Laidlaw Center. Attend a Transfer Application Workshop to learn how to apply to schools, order transcripts, and get admission essay tips.
Running Start Information Session: 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Heiner Theater for any students interested in Running Start for Fall 2017.
May 3
A panel with UCLA professor Hiroshi Motomura, local immigration attorney Hannah Stone, and students will discuss immigrant rights and policy in the current politcal climate in Syre Student Center. There will be food trucks at 5:30 p.m. and the keynote at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
May 5
Deadline to receive early registration access for summer quarter.
WCC Got Talent Grand Final: 5-7 p.m. in the Heiner Theater. One of five finalists will receive a prize worth $500 and be the Grand Winner of WCC Got Talent 2017. Free admission and free food.
May 8
Nursing Information Session: 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Laidlaw Room 216A, for anyone interested in Whatcom’s fulltime nursing program.
